I'm not sure how king blob is handle with his shift options being determined by what he evolves from though.Īnd no, getting an early shift doesn't break anything, I pretty regularly get one if I wind up with early access to certain explore moves (improved flying or some sort of swimming lets you get the one across the frozen lake for instance), and even without editing it's been possible to get a shifted monster before the shift event for as long as shifting has been in the game if you know how to go about it. So you can just change the shift status while you're changing the monster species. Each monster entry has a line that says "ActiveMonster > X > Shift :" (or inActiveMonster for those not in the party of 6), where X is the monster slot and the following number in the parenthesis determines the shift (0 = unshifted, 1 = light shifted, 2 = dark shifted). I haven't started myself with a shifted monster, but it's pretty trivial to do so. It generally only takes me a couple of minutes to go through and really isn't that difficult.

Once you've changed the species of the monsters you're altering you download the altered file, place it in your saves folder (overwriting again), and you're good to go with a full team of 6 monsters of your choice in the first room of the game. Glitches View source Contents 1 Mythic Cave Description 2 Homesick 3 Upgrading Habitats 4 Monster Display Issues 5 Egg slot lock 6 Social Egg Theft Mythic Cave Description When you open the description about the Mythic Cave, the game will allow you to edit the description. In order to get the species ID values I generally take my end-game save file, put the 6 monsters I want to use in the new run in the active slots, then load that file up in the editor just so I can copy the ID numbers over to the one I'm actually altering.

This is done by changing the line "ActiveMonster > X > ID :" where X is a number 0-5 and the value afterwards in parenthesis is what determines the monster species. Load the file back up on the editor site and change each of the blobs into a different monster. Load up the save file on this site and search for whichever item has a quantity of "1" (the line will read "inventory > X > k_BackingField :(1)"), and set that number to 6 (or 5 if you plan on using your starter that run).ĭownload the edited save, place it back in your save folder (overwriting the original one), load it up, hatch your 5 or 6 blob eggs (placing the familiar in the backline if you're not using them), save the game and exit again. Start a new save file, beat up the initial blob, save and exit.
