If you’re interested in grabbing The Sinking City, it’s currently available on PC, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and Nintendo Switch.
Since they’re currently involved in a lawsuit, it doesn’t seem likely that this will change any time soon. Frogwares noted that the reason for this is because the game is under a different publisher, with the original release of The Sinking City still under Nacon.

It won’t be a free upgrade, and PlayStation 4 owners will have to repurchase the game in order to get the PlayStation 5 version. While the game is coming to the PlayStation 5, there is a bit of bad news to go with it. To add to this, the PlayStation 5 version of the game will see a permanent $10 price reduction, bringing it to $49.99. The loading times have also been shortened. In addition to this, the game now features DualSense support, making use of the PlayStation 5’s fancy controller features. For starters, it will now run at 60fps and in 4k, which should help make the improved graphics look just that much better on a nice TV.

UPDATE – The Australian listing is now live, with the Standard Edition priced at $53.16 with PS Plus discount ($75.95 without) and the Deluxe Edition priced at $68.56 with PS Plus discount ($97.95 without). Furthermore, while there is no official statement at this stage, given the fact that the PS5 and PS4 versions are published by two separate companies and those two companies aren’t the best of friends, it’s highly unlikely that the PS4 version will be eligible for a free upgrade. I’m not a betting man, but I’d assume the reasons are to entice the player to purchase the PS5 version (the better version one would assume) and to undercut PS4 version ‘publisher’ Nacon, with whom Frogwares are currently in a legal battle with. In a surprise move, the PS5 versions have been priced lower than their PS4 counterparts (see below – PS Plus subscribers get a tasty 30% off too). As can be seen in the trailer, The Sinking City on PS5 is making some big upgrades to the game, upping the visuals to 4K resolution and hitting 60 frames per second. Use it wisely to upgrade your combat skills, vigor or mind. Experience Boost – This DLC includes a skill point that can be used from the start of the game.
